Song Production - Mixing & Mastering

$22/hr Starting at $50

I'm Colin Bart, an audio engineer based out of the Chicago Recording Company in Chicago, Illinois. I've worked on a diverse range of projects over the course of my career, from audio post-production for television commercials, to podcasts, to recording, mixing, and mastering full length albums. When working with me, you can expect an open line of communication. The most important part of being an audio engineer is listening, and that's a characteristic that matters just as much outside of the studio as it does in the studio. I use Pro Tools 12, Celemony Melodyne, and a plethora of other third party plugins from the likes of Native Instruments, Softube, and Waves to make your music sound as great as it possible can. I also mix with analog equipment from the likes of Valley People, DBX, and Universal Audio. What sets me apart from other mixing & mastering engineers on this site is that I embrace the bleeding edge of technology in anyway that will benefit my audio production process. I'm set up to stream a real-time, high quality, stereo audio feed to anyone over the internet. What this means is that you won't have to send emails back & forth with lists of revisions. and play the waiting game in between revisions. You can hop on your computer, turn on a good set of speakers or headphones, and give me your critiques in real time. This is a massive time saver, and helps ensure that everyone's (up to 10 people at once) on the same page with the mix and master.
