I am a parent special education advocate who has ligated and won a Special Education Hearing against my local school district to ensure my child’s FAPE. 17.088H Maine. Despite me having NO formal education I’m extremely knowledgeable and comfortable in most areas of special education in regards to policy and procedures. I recently mediated a settlement with our school district for educational supports and services for my special needs child to be accessed in our homeschool setting. I also have experience advocating for special needs students who are getting bullied. I’ve worked with parents locally to help inform and provide options and solutions to their child’s educational needs. I’m extremely passionate in this field due to my personal experiences with our school district
