I am a native English-speaking copy editor and writer based in Dunedin, New Zealand.
I work regularly (over 20 research papers a week) as an academic copy editor, editing for journals covering topics from theology to microbiology. My personal academic background has focused on life and social sciences. I am also qualified as an English teacher, and have a particular knowledge base in working with writers for whom English is a second or third language.
I am a published playwright and poet, and always relish the opportunity to edit and provide feedback on creative works. I am able to read only for surface errors, or to provide in depth feedback and advice.
Every writer I work with wants something different from the editing process. It is my job to both listen to what you want, and figure out what you need to make your writing stand above the rest.
