I am a statistician and a data analyst. My academic qualifications: I have studied actuarial science at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology in Kenya, where I acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in my area of study. Within the course of my study I acquired many skills which include, but not limited to; statistics, statistical analysis and statistical programming. I have worked with Infotrak Research & Consulting, which is a research institution in Kenya, as a statistical analyst. My working here was very helpful and I was able to exercise and improve on my statistical analysis skills. Specifically, I work with various software, that I am very conversant with, for data entry, data checking, data cleaning and data analysis, among which the latter happens to be my main field of work. I have worked with the software for quite a long time and therefore I have acquired good skills and expertise for my work. These software include: SPSS for data entry, data cleaning and data analysis Stata for data entry and data cleaning R EpiData for data entry and data checking EpiInfo for data entry Microsoft Excel for data entry, data cleaning and data analysis Given any data, I am able to analyze it and come up with outputs as desired by the client. Where the type of output is not stated, I am able to come with the best one depending on how the problem is presented. For any data that I analyze, I interpret the results and come up with clear inferences for all conclusions made. I also present the output to the client as desired. For presentation of the output, I mostly use Microsoft PowerPoint which is a very powerful tool and whose interpretation is easily comprehensive. I also use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, or any other tool that the client requires. I also have excellent skills, speed and accuracy when working and therefore able to meet deadlines.
