Storage and Backup support

Storages: Hitachi G Series, HUS-VM, EMC Symmetrix VMAX and DMX series, EMC VNX, EMC Unity, Netapp C &7 mode, IBM XIV, SVC & V7K, DS, HP-MSA & EVA, 3par, Fujitsu DX200, Microsoft Store Simple 7000 & 8000 series, Nimble Storage devices. 

Backup: Netbackup 7.x,8.x , Commvault v11

Responsibilities:

• Daily Monitoring of SAN Storage Arrays and Switch as a part of Health Check-up.
• Daily Monitoring of Backup failures and troubleshooting, Tape management, capacity trends, Tape drives.  
• Working on Tickets assigned to the team, and ensuring implementation in adherence to internal SLAs.
• Hands-on Experience on Technical Transition for Backup and Storage Technologies. 
• In Technical Transition we have prepare end to end documentation like Technical document, SOPs, Operation details, Risks, Gaps, mitigation of observations, compliance/security issues, escalation matrix, portal logins, credentials, shadow support, primary support and go live. 
• Extensive Experience on Storage provisioning, LUN creation, Pool Creation/Expansion, Masking, Mapping. 
• Installation and configuration of Windows and Linux servers for backup using Commvault & VERITAS NetBackup backup.
• Communication with Vendor/Users for resolution of open-issues, ticket details, etc.
• Monitoring of logs captured in Brocade Network Advisor and perform analysis to identify issues or any possible improvements.
• Performing SAN Storage Provisioning, Device Expansion, Host-Group Creation, Storage Visibility as per requirement.
• Performing SAN Storage Decommissioning for reclaiming or re-use of existing of Storage provisioned.
• Provisioning RDMs for Virtual Machines where High-Performance is expected as per application owner.
• Experience with Business Continuity Solutions using Mirrorview, Snapshot, SAN copy at CLARiiON level and snapmirror at netapp filers, Global mirror and flash copy with IBM SVC. Hitachi with GAD, TC, HUR and SI(Clone).
• Experience with periodical activities (DR-Test, BCP-Drills).
• Maintaining Hitachi Devices in PAIR and creating/performing resync of devices which are required to be in replication as per application requirement.
• Performing and creating SI Pairs and snapshots, as backup in current environment is taken from the data cloned onto Secondary common server, hence not impacting performance of application servers.
• Creating reports with use of data captured from Netapp OnCommand Unified Manager, Active IQ Unified Manager, HDCA, Tuning Manager, BNA to perform trend analysis.
• Planning and migration of data from EMC CX4-480 to HP 3PAR 8440 Storage. Almost 400 TB of data and 60 Virtual/physical machines are migrated to new storage system. Online import utility tool used for data transfer. 
• Planning, preparation and implemented the IBM V5000 Storage.
