ANDREW Tate's spokesperson has denied reports in Romania that his brother was recently rushed to hospital amid hellish conditions in their prison cell.
Tate, 36, and his brother Tristan, 34, are both imprisoned in the Romanian capital Bucharest on charges of sex trafficking.
hey have been in jail since December 29 last year, after cops raided their luxury compound on the outskirts of Bucharest.
Romanian media outlet CanCan claimed that Tristan had to be rushed to hospital recently after complaining of feeling sick behind bars.
The younger brother of the disgraced influencer, who has built an empire off the back of his viral, misogynistic content, reportedly suffered from severe stomach pains, headaches, and vomiting.
Romanian media claims that he was later diagnosed as having enterocolitis, an inflammation of the intestines which various infections can cause.
Tate's family are quoted in the piece as saying that Andrew has lost a significant amount of weight after two months in the "hellhole" Central Detention Centre dubbed the "Royal Cellar".
A relative said: "They receive a package, they still eat whatever is given to them, but they complain about the terrible conditions in which they live.
"I maintain that it is unlivable there, that it is full of rats, cockroaches, that they have become full of fleas and lice.
"They say they have never seen so much filth in their lives. They are used to another life, naturally, Tristan got sick.
"Both have lost a lot of weight, Andrew has lost almost ten kilos."
A spokesperson for Andrew and Tristan has strongly denied the claims purportedly from relatives which have appeared in Romanian media.
They told The Sun: "Andrew and Tristan Tate are in good health and are focused on next week's appeal against the most recent extension decision.
"No one, apart from their legal counsel, has access to the brothers whilst they are in detention, so we challenge the authenticity of the quote featured in the Romanian news outlet, Cancan."
Controversial former kickboxer and Big Brother contestant Tate was arrested in December alongside his brother and two Romanian women on suspicion of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organised crime group.
"Moreover, sanitary facilities were often in a poor state of repair and detained persons were not provided with appropriate quantities of detergent and hygiene products."
It comes as Tate and his brother face a judge next week to appeal for their freedom, after 60 days in jail.
A judge on Tuesday rejected their appeal to be freed from custody, ordering them to spend at least another 30 days behind bars.
Prosecutors decided to extend their remand as they believed the brothers take off from Romania, according to Digi24.
The outlet reports interceptions made by Court of Appeal judges suggested the pair were planning to flee to Dubai.
Tate has repeatedly whinged about life holed up in a cell
In an email to subscribers, he moaned about the "blistering cold" while being "locked in a box".
