Hello, a brief highlight of whom I have become( skill wise and strength) over the last seven years of working as a consultant in the IT world is below: Writing skills – Ability to write in a clear and concise manner and to be able to convey information appropriately for a variety of audiences.I have responded to over 50 RFP's, created even more value propositions and demonstration guides for the Oracle HCM solution trials across Europe, middle east, and Africa. Technical skills – Capacity to write on the various technical set of topic depending greatly on the subject matter, product or service that requires documentation. Tools skills – Familiarity with technological tools as I have been for the last 2 years been configuring solutions and creating documentation for the same. Professionalism – Know how and when to ask questions while being able to have varying personalities and preferences of the people – the subject matter experts, or SMEs – in order to know how best to approach them. Design skills – An appreciation for the visual(graphics, formatting & illustration), as I believe technical documents don't just consist written words to be most effective and usable. Usability and testing skills – Very okay with doing validation of the documentation – the confirmation that the product works the way it is documented to work. With that I believe you understand, my role on your team as a technical writer is an essential one.It would be the perfect partnership.
