Professionally, I have been writing and editing since 2005. At that time, I produced environmental documents for the state of Louisiana. In 2008, I became the sports columnist for Baton Rouge’s own Red Shtick Magazine. I am still writing for Red Shtick, but in December of 2010 I started my own sports website. My website, Sportsgazelle.com, covers sports for western Pennsylvania. The site focuses on high school, amateur, and professional sports using an entertaining, multimedia approach.At the end of 2010, I received my Master’s in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University. My research was an investigation of sports website content to find out what keeps users. The thesis was praised and featured by Barry Petchesky on Deadspin.com. Lastly, I have worked as a freelancer for several other magazines and as a video camera operator for LSU’s student athletes.
