When I was the Marketing Director for a Silicon Valley medical software firm in the 1980s, I learned that the most important thing in business was being able to communicate clearly with clients and co-workers alike, and to be able to share the different values and goals of a diverse community in ways that made sense to all. I am now Professor of Anthropology at the University of Wyoming; over the course of my career, I have gained extensive experience in many kinds of writing and editing, from advertising copy to grant proposals and academic books, on subjects as diverse as yoga and health, water and climate change, energy and environment.
