"Quick evacuation operation" for French in Sudan

Following the USA, France also took action to evacuate its citizens in Sudan. As the clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continued on April 15 in Sudan, a new statement came from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the statement, it was noted that after the increasing tension between the parties in Sudan, a "rapid evacuation operation" was launched for the French and diplomatic personnel in the country. It was stated that citizens of European and allied countries will also be included in the evacuation efforts.


Military administration wants RSF to join the army


On April 15, clashes broke out in Sudan between the army led by the Sovereignty Council President General Abdulfettah al-Burhan and the RSF led by the council's vice president, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo. Al-Burhan states that the RSF, which was established to fight the rebels, should join the army in order to prevent it from acting as an independent force, while Dagalo, the head of the RSF, argues that this should be done with a civilian administration.
