In the US state of Georgia, footage has emerged of a Republican local election official taking two people working for former President Donald Trump to the district election office to show voting machine data after the 2020 Presidential election.

CNN and the Washington Post showed CCTV footage of Republican county election official Cathy Latham driving two men, Scott Hall and Paul Maggio, who worked for Trump's attorney Sidney Powell, into the Coffee district election office.

CNN wrote that Hall and Maggio, an employee of the data science company SullivanStricker, went to the election office at Powell's request.

It is recorded that Maggio wrote to Powell on January 7, 2021, when the video was taken, that they went to the election office to "collect what they could from the voting machines used in the election" and that "everything is fine" regarding data collection, including photos of the election management system server.

It was stated that on the same day the video was shot, it was determined that there was a violation of the voting machines in the Coffee District election office and an investigation was opened by the Fulton District Attorney's Office.

It was also noted that the investigation of Latham, the officer who took Hall and Maggio to the election office, about the attempt to change the outcome of the 2020 Presidential elections, carried out by the Fulton District Attorney's Office, is still ongoing.

It was noted that Latham had previously stated in his statement as part of the relevant investigation that he was at school full time on January 7 and had stopped by the election office for a short time.

The Washington Post also wrote that in January 2021, two individuals named Doug Logan and Jeffrey Lenberg from the Cyber Ninjas security company went to the same election office twice together, and that Lenberg later found videos of him visiting the office five more times on his own.

It was shared that Logan and Lenberg were the subject of another investigation for allegedly interfering with voting machines in the state of Michigan.

Political observers assessed that the video in question showed Trump and his team's efforts to uncover evidence to change the 2020 Presidential election result, which they claimed was fraudulent, by using local election officials who sympathized with them.

Georgia stood out as one of the most contentious states during the 2020 Presidential election, and the meetings between Trump and his team with state officials to influence the outcome of the elections caused fierce debate in the country.

The investigation launched by the Fulton District Attorney's Office over the interference in the 2020 Presidential elections, including the talks, is still ongoing.
