US relaxes travel warning to Turkey

$20/hr Starting at $25

The United States has loosened the travel warning it had previously applied to Turkey, along with many other countries, due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

After the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) removed Turkey from the list of countries that should not be traveled due to Kovid-19, the US Department of State also updated its travel warning for Turkey.

In the travel alert on the ministry's website, Turkey's situation has been improved by downgrading from level 4, known as "do not travel," to level 2, known as "act with caution".

The travel warning also advised American citizens not to travel to areas close to the Syrian border, and to Sirnak and Hakkari.

CDC had removed 90 countries, including Turkey, from the list of countries that should not be traveled due to Covid-19.

In the statement made by the institution, it was stated that the countries in question were reduced from the 4th level, which is the "Do not travel" warning, to the 3rd level, where it is not recommended to go, especially for unvaccinated US citizens.

  • Nuclear missile test from Russia: Sarmat missile
  • Denmark begins talks to send asylum seekers from its country to Rwanda
  • LAST MINUTE: Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu met with his Russian counterpart
  • LAST MINUTE: Coalition government resigns in TRNC
