I am a veteran Product / Mechanical Designer with a unique blend of skills that include 3D CAD Modeling / Drafting and product renderings; Manufacturing and Quality Engineering support and as a Mechanical and Electronic Technician. Using CAD technologies with DFMA principles I produce 3D CAD models of products, components and assemblies that are robust and durable; easy to manufacture, assemble and verify. I produced a concept design and product renderings for a large format, twin router head, fabrication machine for cutting aluminum sheets. I earned the reputation as the “GOTO GUY”. I assisted project teams and engineers to start or get back track on aircraft systems that resulted in reducing program development time. Using 3D CAD methods and DFMA principles I designed over 450 FAA approved and certified components, assemblies and structures for the mechanical flight control, ECS/Pressurization systems and the main cabin door latch mechanism. Through Web based meetings I worked with on-site and client engineers resolving drawing interpretation issues resulting in zero travel between out-of-state client and base offices.
