Sudan.. The Army and the Rapid Support Forces agree to extend the armistice

On Thursday night, the Rapid Support Forces agreed to extend the ceasefire in Sudan for a period of 3 days, after a similar announcement from the Sudanese army .

The truce was reached and extended with the mediation of the United States and Saudi Arabia.

The current truce, which was scheduled to end at midnight Thursday, did not stop the fighting between the two sides, but it gave tens of thousands of Sudanese the ability to flee to safer areas, and allowed foreign countries to evacuate hundreds of their nationals by land and sea.
