Who is the new coach of the Egyptian

In a brief statement on the social networking site Facebook, the Egyptian Federation said that it had been agreed with the Portuguese coach to lead the Egyptian national team for the next 4 years.

Who is the man?

Rui Vitoria is a 52-year-old Portuguese former football player and coach.

He started his career as a player for a team in the Portuguese third division, and ended it with Villafrancoense in the Lisbon region, which currently plays in the second division of the Portuguese League.

He retired from playing in 2003 at the age of 32.

He started his coaching career with the Portuguese club Villafrancoense in 2004, and also coached the Fatima, Pacos, Guimaraes and Benfica teams in the same country.

One of his most prominent training stations is the Portuguese team "Benfica", where he trained in 2015 and continued with him for 3 years, during which he led him to win the Premier League twice in 2016 and 2017, the Portuguese Cup once, the League Cup once, and the Portuguese Super Cup title twice.

Vitoria moved from Benfica to coach the Saudi Al-Nasr team in 2019, and led them to win the Saudi League and the Saudi Super Cup, and qualify for the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League 2020.

He left Al Nasr team at the end of last season after a number of negative results, to enter a short training experience with the Russian team Spartak Moscow that did not last more than 6 months.

According to Egyptian media reports, the Portuguese coach will receive 2.4 million euros annually under the contract.
