Prince Harry on James Hewitt's alleged paternity

James Hewitt had a secret love affair with Harry's mother Princess Diana († 36) from 1986 to 1991. Harry denies the officer's paternity. After all, the two only met two years after his birth. Even King Charles had not commented on these alleged paternity rumors. "If Pa had any thoughts about Major Hewitt, he kept them to himself," he continued.

Harry suspects the rumors arose from a "sadism" in the tabloid media, as there are certain similarities between him and the major due to the rusty brown hair. "Readers loved the idea that Prince Charles' younger child wasn't Prince Charles' child," Harry continues. "Maybe that made them feel better about their lives because the life of a young prince was laughable."
