My name is Roger Burks. I’ve worked as a writer, editor and communications strategist for more than a dozen years. I believe in deep, personal storytelling, and have seen how human connection through stories drives causes, elicits action, creates impact and changes lives. My work has taken me to more than 30 countries, including some of the world’s toughest and most remote places: Iraq, Haiti, Mongolia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I have logged hundreds of hours of documentary field work in displacement camps, disaster zones, war-torn areas and other challenging situations.
