My life as a writer has been a happy whirlwind of exciting projects, giving me the opportunity to grow and become a mini-expert in a variety of fields (and somewhat of a nuisance at cocktail parties). I am fortunate that I’ve been able to combine two of my passions – my love for the English language and the ability to write. With a lifetime of diverse experience -- including years of freelance writing, editing, PR, and authoring 4 nationally published cookbooks -- I have the expertise you are looking for. In addition to freelance assignments, I worked as an advertising copywriter for two major ad agencies in New York. Shortly thereafter I created MegaBites, a witty, gossipy newsletter for travelers and food lovers. More recently, I was a contributing editor/writer for several magazines, most prominently, TK (Tasting Kitchen), a luxury lifestyles magazine published in Hong Kong for a discerning, upwardly mobile audience. I lived in New Orleans for 11 years and while there, I wrote a regular food, travel, and lifestyles column for one of the city’s official websites. I regularly interviewed and wrote bios of the many talented chefs, reviewed restaurants, reported on the numerous events for which the Big Easy is famous, and managed a Q and A section. My skills include an excellent grasp of the English language and a love of crisp, elegantly phrased copy.
