James V. Morganelli is a Chicago-based writer, consultant, teacher, and trainer. A prolific writer and award-winning screenwriter, his article, “Ethical Warrior,” an interview with Jack Hoban, was featured in Black Belt Magazine's 50th anniversary issue and his blog, KOSSHI, enjoys readership around the world. James has studied martial arts for more than 35 years and holds certification in Verbal Defense and Influence and is a master instructor in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu of Japan, where he lived and trained for three years. Upon his return from Japan, he founded the Shingitai-Ichi Dojo in 1998 to continue his training, teaching, and outreach. James is also a staff member at Resolution Group International - professional conflict-resolution experts dedicated to teaching ethical, verbal, and physical skills to civilians, law enforcement, and the military. It is headed by Jack E. Hoban. In 2014, James completed his first book, "A Sword to Cut Stone," a compilation of more than five years of posts from his blog, and now has an option with YMAA Publications. He also edited and wrote the Foreword for "The Ethical Protector," based upon the "Ethical Warrior" series written for PoliceOne.com by Jack E. Hoban and Bruce Gourlie.
