My mother was a social justice warrior. I hugged MLK before I was seven. A part of me died with his murder. I was eleven. The bulk of the following 5 decades I've devoted to fighting for freedom and equity and creating with the written word.

Freeman Cosmo Harris was a stickler. He ran down every assertion and loose end twice. One verification just would not do. He was my first publisher. He taught me to dig, he taught me to question. He taught me to raise my voice loud, and he taught me to never be loud and wrong. Thorough research runs through my DNA.

Until recently, I served as trichair for the Colorado Poor People's Campaign and was responsible for all news updates, calls to action, and fundraising emails. We solidified a core of more than 20, raised in excess of $10,000, and eased the suffering of approximately 500 of our unhoused neighbors across the state. Regular written conversations with our base (about 3,500) propelled us to effectiveness beyond our dreams. I know how to incite action.

I have published news articles, blogs, web, and social media content. I've founded and led community and activist organizations. Now, I focus on writing what we believe in as my duty and gift to freedom, equity, and us all.
