UN / INGO / NGO project coordinator and technical advisor seeking challenging opportunities in report writing, resource mobilisation, research, desk review and proposal development
With 14 years of international- and national-level experience in the drug demand reduction sector, I have built an in depth level of expertise in drug use and harm reduction prevention treatment and care, drug use epidemiology, social care leadership and project management. Since 2006, I have worked at an international level in roles such as adviser, expert, consultant and project coordinator for UNODC, UNWFP, Adam Smith International, GIZ, Heartland Alliance International and Praxis Labs. My work experience in the UK, the US, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Maldives, Nigeria and Senegal has resulted In effective project implementation, positive policy developments, increased national capacity across government and non-government sectors as well as the publication of significant reports, studies and research. I have an academic background in Criminal Justice (M.A.), Childhood Studies and Psychology (B.A. hons) and have attended numerous specialist courses in the areas of drug use treatment and care with a focus on harm reduction (HIV, HBV and HCV) dual diagnosis, overdose prevention and management, evidence-based psychosocial therapies, OST (methadone and bupernorphine) and outpatient treatment centre management. I am currently studying an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with the University of Derby as well as gaining certification in mindfulness based approaches (MBCT, MBSR and MBRP).
Work Terms
Austria based and on CET and would prefer to work daytime hours but on an exceptional basis and for the right project I am flexible.
