Biography: Sinem Uğurlar was born in Istanbul in 1987. After completing the foreign language-focused high school program, he completed the Applied English-Turkish Translation program at Concept Vocational School with a 100% scholarship. Afterwards, she was entitled to study at Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of English Language and Literature, and completed her formation training at Hasan Ali Yücel Faculty of Education, Department of Foreign Languages ​​Education, Department of English Language Education. In the first year of her undergraduate education, she won Mina Urgan, Turkish English literature professor, writer, philologist and translator, the second prize with her short story "The Man Who Squeezed His Soul Like an Orange Peel". She also worked with adults by giving lessons at kindergarden, primary school, secondary school and high school levels in public schools as well as private schools and courses. After serving as the head of the group at Private Sınav College, she moved into the publishing industry and worked as an assistant to the editor-in-chief at Epsilon Publishing Group. She was appointed as international rights coordinator within the same company. She took advanced editing courses organized by the Publishers Association and from the editor Sevengül Sönmez. At Kolektif House, she also completed the creative writing workshop from Jale Demirdöğen and Emre Kalcı and the scenario workshop from Aziz Kedi, the screenwriter of the very famous TV series Gibi in Turkey. Currently, in addition to making translations and giving private lessons, she follows the digital world, carries out editorial work and improves herself in the field of screenplay by writing various articles. She attended the "How to Shoot a Short Film?" Workshop given by Yasemin Demirci within the scope of the 5th Directed by Women Turkey International Women Short Film Directors Festival. She continues her film work.
