Trusted Expert in English/German Translation
Translation is both my profession and my passion. A German native who has lived in beautiful Massachusetts for more than 15 years, I enjoy helping businesses understand their target markets abroad and finding just the right words to get their messages across in a foreign culture. I specialize in technical and technical-legal translations and am particularly excited about working with businesses in the environmental sector – in renewable energies, sustainability and energy efficiency. However, I work with individuals, companies and organizations from a wide variety of fields and backgrounds.
I know that keeping up to date with research and development is a key component to an accurate, high quality translation. This is why you will find me at relevant trade shows and conferences and why I am always deepening and expanding my knowledge of terminology and the latest developments by staying current with professional publications from both sides of the Atlantic.
One of the greatest joys of my profession is the diverse nature of my projects – aside from the basic knowledge we translators need to possess in our fields, there is always a great deal of research and investigation that goes into any given project. I love figuring out details and the workings of things, the interconnectedness of systems – and then putting it all together in an intelligent and accurate translation.
I hold a B.A.-equivalent in German and English Lingustics and Literature from the University of Konstanz (Germany) and an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
