Rsearch Assistant and Graduate Student in Data Science and Business Analytics

I am currently working as a research assistant and my project is in the field of healthcare analytics. My quick learning ability helped me significantly during the course of the project since I had to learn SAS from scratch and then use it solve the problem statement. I am comfortable with R as I have used it for various of Academic projects listed in the resume (e.g. Analyzing S&P 500 Companies, Music player with an integrated recommender system). I am also familiar with Python libraries for data analysis like panda and numpy.
I have profound knowledge in relational database management systems and I have used MySQL and PHP for a small project (creating a website for fictitious company).
I have experience using Tableau, D3.js and JavaScript since I have used these tools to visualize a temporal climate data and develop a data visualization system.
I have experience using wireframes since I used it to design a mobile app as a part of academic project in Mobile Marketing and Analytics.
I am also familiar with Hadoop MapReduce, Apache Pig and Apache Spark with basic Linux commands for shell scripting. I have learnt MongoDB in my free time as a part of getting started with NoSQL ecosystem.
Even though I did not have much experience with programming and computer science, it never seemed like I was at a disadvantage. That can be attributed to my strong attitude, ability to learn new things and love for data science. Someone has once appreciated my strong will power and the courage to venture into the unknown!
My academic and work experience at UNC Charlotte has provided me a broad view that is useful in assisting with projects, assignments and meeting deadlines on time.
