Akash is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Finance in Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM). He is a confident person with a strong believe in himself and a great appetite for learning. He has a strong passion for understanding and analyzing companies and is trained in DCF analysis, Dividend Discount Model, Relative Valuation using multiples to name a few methods of valuation. He had professional use of his expertise while working as an Associate at Caspian Impact Investments where he worked for one of most highly rated Impact Investing PE Fund called India Financial Inclusion Fund (IFIF). He has also done a brief internship in an energy consulting firm called ENV Energy Advisers.

Akash has published his paper “Cost and Benefit Analysis of an Optimum Currency Area” in the Journal of Public Financial Management which is published by the National Institute of Financial Management, Faridabad (ISSN 2347-1549). In 2017 he presented another paper "Dynamic Capital Adequacy Ratio for Bringing Equilibrium in Lending in the Banking Industry" at SDI Management Development Institute and in Flame University. He also has presented papers in various international and national conferences like the 4th European Conference on Banking and The Economy (ECOBATE) organised by the University of Southampton at Winchester,England and Econ - Visva 2017 organised by the Visva - Bharati University, Shantiniketan. He also received the Best Paper award in Shantiniketan.

He has an MSc in Banking and International Finance from Toulouse Business School, France and completed his Bachelor of Commerce with honors in Finance from Gauhati Commerce College. He also has a certification in Equity Derivatives from National Institute of Securities Market (NISM).
