Hello!
My name is Alana and I am a Fundraising & Event Professional with over 12 years of experience working in the nonprofit industry. Additionally, I've also developed expansive knowledge of organizational philanthropy from a volunteer perspective due to my 15+ years on various nonprofit Boards of Directors- serving as both Fundraising Chair and Board President.
I have a genuine passion for all things fundraising related, especially event planning/management and have been lucky enough to oversee more than 100 events during my career. I enjoy the overall challenge of event management and feel lucky that all my events have been so vastly different, including 12 guest formal dinners, sold out charity benefit concerts for 1500 and even a golf tournament fundraiser that has attracted numerous PGA winning golfers with the help of a strategic marketing campaign of course. I also consider myself to be a PR and marketing expert with a natural talent for storytelling, crediting my lifelong knack for public speaking and networking to both.
Although I am a newbie to the online freelancing community, I am confident that my experience and work ethic will prove that when it comes to fundraising and development I'm a veteran in my own right!
