About

Concrete materials scientist with a broad range of knowledge and experience.

Alex Rollins began work at a very young age in the concrete industry. His experience 1990-2010 included operations management and quality control management for an operation spanning ten ready mix plants and approximately 300,000 cubic yards per year. Since 2010 he has held the position of Director of the Civil Engineering Materials Research Laboratory at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where his primary role is to research solutions related to Portland cement concrete from an applied science perspective. Additionally, he serves as a consultant to the industry and civil/structural engineering firms.

Work Terms

Mr. Rollins works on a project-by-project basis, but in general work terms are $150 per hour plus travel costs and per diem at U.S. GAO rates.
