I love to create. My goal is to bring ideas and images together to create something that is honest, exciting and inspiring.

I think if I could do it all over again I'd either join the circus and drop everything and travel the world. I'm an adventurer, a music mover, an ocean breather, a doodler, a world traveler, a dog lover and a momma.

I started my design career with my dream job - a record label. Surrounded by music and creativity, I designed hundreds of artists albums with pictures and illustrations while working for EMI Music in Nashville. Before long I was on my own as The Visual Republic, designing for all the major record labels as well as book publishers and other businesses. I have been a freelancer for 14 years now, full-time for many years but now only part-time as I'm also a mom to a three year old son.

I still love great design. It's in my blood. I drool over great typography and perfect uses of white space. I love clean lines as much as I love textures. I buy items solely because of their packaging and identify fonts everywhere I go. But I'm also an illustrator using both paint or pen as well as vector to create fun images.

Work Terms

Hours: Part-time only. I work M-F 1-4PM as well as Tuesdays and Fridays 9:30-12:15.

Payment: For projects under $1000, payment is due when the project is complete. For larger projects, first half of payment is due up front with balance due upon completion.

Communication: I prefer a phone call to start a project to talk through all the details. After that, email is great!
