I am Ali Raza — a Physics, Math, and Science educator with 10 years of real classroom experience, a formal teaching degree, and a genuine passion for turning struggling students into confident, independent learners.
Over the past decade, I have taught at both high school and college level across two different institutions, working with hundreds of students ranging from complete beginners to advanced examination candidates. My career has not been spent in a single comfortable classroom — it has been built through daily problem-solving, adapting to different learning styles, managing large classes, and consistently delivering results that speak for themselves.
What I Have Done
I began my teaching career as a Senior Science Teacher at a high school in Pakistan, where I taught Physics and Mathematics to students aged 14 to 18 and prepared them for national board examinations. This role taught me the most important lesson of my career: students do not fail Physics because they are not smart enough — they fail because nobody has taken the time to explain it in a way that connects with how they actually think. I made it my mission to be that teacher. Within a short time, my students were not just passing — they were achieving distinctions, and I was recognised with the Best Teacher Award for the results I was delivering.
From there, I moved into college-level teaching as a Lecturer in Physics at Faran Group of Colleges, where I was quickly appointed Head of the Physics Department. In that role, I was responsible for over 200 students across multiple classes, managed a team of teaching staff, designed the departmental curriculum, and ensured consistent academic quality across the board. I received the Excellence Award twice during my time there — formally recognised as a mentor, guide, and inspiration to students. That is not a description I take lightly. It reflects ten years of showing up prepared, staying patient, and genuinely caring whether every student in my classroom understood the material before moving on.
How I Actually Teach
My approach is built on three principles that I have refined over ten years of standing in front of real students with real deadlines and real pressures.
First — concept before calculation. Most students who struggle with Physics have been taught to plug numbers into formulas without understanding what those formulas actually represent. I always start with the idea. Once a student understands why an equation exists, using it correctly becomes almost automatic.
Second — patience without lowering standards. I will explain the same concept five different ways if that is what it takes — using diagrams, analogies, worked examples, and real-world connections — but I never simplify to the point of being misleading. My students learn Physics properly, not a watered-down version of it.
Third — every student is different. I take time to understand where a student currently is, where they need to get to.
