Lead Maintenance Engineer | Technical Documentation Specialist
Most technical writers describe equipment they've never operated. I document systems I've spent 8 years maintaining, repairing, and leading teams on.
I'm a Lead Maintenance Engineer with a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on expertise in electromechanical systems, X-ray and security inspection equipment, hydraulics, and industrial automation. I currently lead maintenance operations for large-scale security infrastructure — including the Beirut Airport Expansion — where producing clear, accurate technical documentation is as critical as the engineering itself.
I create user manuals and maintenance guides that technicians, operators, and field engineers can actually use — not generic documents that gather dust. My documentation is built on real-world fault resolution experience, preventive maintenance programs, and cross-functional work between CAD teams and on-site crews.
What I deliver:
— Operator & User Manuals (electromechanical, hydraulic, security systems)
— Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Guides
— Troubleshooting Procedures & Fault Diagnosis Flowcharts
— Installation & Commissioning Documentation
— Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
— Service & Warranty Documentation
— Technical Specifications & Bills of Quantity
Tools & formats I work in: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA V5, LaTeX, MS Office, Adobe Photoshop — delivering in PDF, Word, or structured digital format depending on your needs.
I'm certified by Rapiscan Systems (Malaysia) for installation and maintenance of X-ray inspection and TSA-standard radiation detection systems, so I understand exactly what compliance-grade documentation looks like in high-stakes environments.
If your equipment needs documentation that is technically bulletproof, clearly structured, and written by someone who has actually escalated, diagnosed, and resolved the failures your users will face — let's talk.
Work Terms
Project Kick-off & Discovery
To ensure the documentation is field-ready, every project begins with a Technical Discovery Phase.
Requirements: Client must provide existing CAD files, schematics, or rough drafts.
Consultation: For complex systems, a 30-minute briefing call is included to discuss specific failure modes or "pain points" your field teams face.
Payment Terms & Milestones
I prefer working via Milestone Payments to ensure alignment throughout the project life cycle:
Milestone 1 (25%): Deposit & Outline/Structure Approval.
Milestone 2 (50%): First Full Draft (for technical review).
Milestone 3 (25%): Final Polish & Delivery of all formats (PDF, LaTeX, etc.).
Note: For smaller, one-off SOPs, a single 100% Safepay funded milestone is required before work commences.
Revisions & Quality Assurance
Included Revisions: I provide two rounds of revisions to ensure technical nomenclature and formatting meet your internal standards.
Accuracy Guarantee: As a Master’s level engineer, I guarantee the technical logic of the documentation based on the data provided.
Confidentiality & Compliance
I am accustomed to working on sensitive infrastructure (Security/Aviation). I am happy to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) before reviewing proprietary schematics or Rapiscan-specific configurations.
Communication & Availability
Response Time: I typically respond to Guru messages within 4–6 hours during business days.
Tools: Primary delivery via Guru; however, I am available for technical walkthroughs via Zoom or Microsoft Teams if required.
