Content Writer, Translator

Through my work as a journalist and foreign-service officer I have had the privilege of observing and participating in the worlds of policy making and diplomacy at a high level. During my career at the Turkish Foreign Ministry, I was entrusted with some important responsibilities and gained deep insights into ethnic and minority issues in southeastern Europe, as well as broader questions of human rights and their relationship with diplomacy. I worked for the Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) Corporation which is the national public broadcaster of Turkey and I had the chance to work for one of the most prestigious weekly business magazines. As a result of these work experiences I have also gained skills in preparing written and visual content, which I believe would be another major asset I can offer to the organization I am working for. Thanks to my university studies in economics and business, I also have a ready grasp of the economic dimensions of complex political situations. My diplomatic postings also gave me invaluable experience of handling sensitive transactions and overseeing junior staff as they went about their tasks. Since last year, I have been extensively working as content writer. I worked on a project for the Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Also, since the beginning of 2017 I have been translating “Harvard Business Review”s articles into Turkish for HBR Turkish edition. I feel that I have valuable skills to offer as an content writer and a translator.
