I have more than 10 years in the secretarial, medical, and insurance fields, in which I have acquired extensive experience in editing, quality-auditing, data entry and time management. In addition I type 50 wpm, have a strong knowledge of all MS Office programs, and I have a love of the particulars of language and grammar.

I am an avid reader and particularly passionate about realistic fiction, mysteries, dramas, and contemporary fantasy. I have received my Certificate in Editing from Poynter News University and am a member of the American Copy Editors Society and Editorial Freelancers Association. I follow the Chicago Manual of Style, but I also have experience with the AP Stylebook.

I am eager to begin working on any tasks such as data entry, internet research, general transcription, proofreading and editing. A little over five years ago I left the corporate to start my family, and I am grateful for the experience and ability to do so. My two boys are now five and 18 months, and I am experiencing a strong urge to work again! Hopefully my skills will benefit you and your team!

Work Terms

I am available to work part time, four to five hours a day. If a task is urgent, I can work longer hours for a short period of time.
