"Instructional Designer & eLearning Developer | 20 Years Turning Complex Content Into Learning That Sticks"
I've spent the last 20 years designing and building eLearning that actually works for the people who have to sit through it. My background spans enterprise tech, aviation, finance, nonprofit, and industrial safety, and over that time I've learned that good instructional design is equal parts strategy and craft: understanding the learner, structuring the content so it makes sense, and then building it in a way that holds attention instead of losing it.
I work primarily in Articulate Storyline and Rise, and I've built and administered custom LMS platforms as well as worked hands-on in tools like LearnDash. My process usually starts with an HLDD and storyboarding, working closely with subject matter experts to turn dense material into blended learning: self-paced modules, ILT/VILT sessions, video, and microlearning designed for real-world constraints, like learners with limited time or shorter attention spans.
I also bring a technical edge to the table. With a background in HTML/CSS and software development, I can bridge the gap between what a course should look like and what an authoring tool or LMS can actually do, which comes in handy when projects need custom functionality or troubleshooting. Whether it's a single course or an end-to-end training program, I like owning projects from intake through deployment.
