Never too small to cope Never too big to Care

Born in Liverpool 1963 and son of an electrician. Lived in an era towards the end of Corporation/Municipal movement so lots of interest in the Community, people and human interaction. Of humble beginnings so Education was the only real way out at the time.

Spent a number of years working for Father and his construction buddies whilst trying to eek out an existence in sport.

After injury and at the Age of 24 moved to Plymouth and as they say the rest is history.

Completed BA (Hons) Recreation & Community Studies at Marjons and then the next year progressed to MSc in Transport studies. Spent the next 10 years doing a variety of jobs not really fulfilling my potential. Eventually, role reversal and stayed at home to bring up 6 kids.

Managed to get into coaching linked to kids activities so Gymnastics coaching and judging and also athletics coaching. Moved away from that a few years ago to do more mentoring of own kids. Son plays basketball and is at Plymouth Raiders Academy and next to youngest fences Internationally for Jamaica and is an Olympic hopeful.

Interests are very wide. Health Education, anything sport related particularly Football used to be an avid Liverpool fan but now more sensibly just like football. my other team is Dunfirmline Athletic in Scotland. Bit of a contrast. Anything with a sociological or human interaction vent will stimulate both my interest and motivation. Education and training are also important and having both tutored vocational support via Basic/ Keyskills and written a couple of training manuals then again a personal favourite. Currently interested in whether UK government would be likely to extend education vouchers from nursery assisted places to mainstream primary and secondary education in UK.

Final interests linked to formative years are history. Social history is a favourite but anything really along with International relations which develops history from the past to the here and now

Work Terms

Hours are quite flexible if its online. It would really be down to location, budget and time frames. Secure online payment is a must and will be negotiated on a pay as we go basis. I'm an independent operator and looking to make this a full time role as 10 years of nights filling shelves for a big retailer has become rather tedious
