My passion is passionate people. I am committed to nourishing and polishing your ideas into a result that fits your vision.
If you were to ask me what is my perfect workday, I would say that it involves sitting down with a piece of writing and a cup of tea. I love when someone comes to me with a project, because it means, at the very least, that I have the opportunity to help someone put his ideas on paper. There is nothing more satisfying to me than when a writer is stuck, and we find, amidst the writer's block and the jumble of thoughts, the big idea, the whole reason she is writing this piece.
I have experience working with writers and composers on their work, and I am an enthusiastic tutor. I work with people across disciplines, across stages of the writer's process, and of all ages: I have tutored a nine-year-old in English and Literature, I have done the research and editing for a book about a women's non-profit, and I have transcribed and edited audio recordings of a retiring investor's memoir. I am comfortable with academic writing as well: I wrote my 66-page senior thesis on Oscar Wilde, and I edited several chapters of a medical school textbook. I have composed and arranged pieces for choirs, an a-cappella group, and for classical piano.
Whatever your project, if you are at least motivated enough that you are reaching out to me, I commit to you my editorial eye, my time, and my enthusiasm for your endeavors.
