I bought my first DSLR camera back in 2008, while studying third year of Journalism degree in Madrid. It started as a hobby, it ended up being a way to tell stories. Soon I learned that in this media industry it’s kind of hard to work as a writer and as a photographer at the same time: bosses and co-workers expect you to choose between one of those two and stick to it. I get it, and sometimes, under certain circumstances, it even makes sense. But I tend to politely disagree.

Born of British father and Spanish mother I was brought up to speak both languages and am perfectly at ease working in either. In addition, I read and understand both French and Catalán. My more than eight years experience of journalism can be best summed up with one word: versatility. I have worked both as reporter and as photographer for newspapers, radio, websites and blogs. In my own time I have learnt photograph and video editing as well as CSS to maximise the quality of my own personal Literature Blog. My other interests include music, cinema, technology and the Internet: as an avid user of the Internet since 1998, I can testify that no other innovation or development has aroused such a passion within me. The one thing, more than any other, which currently holds my interest and concern is the diversity of platforms used for communication on the Internet in this undisciplined digital age in which we live.
