About

Writer, Translator French/English/Japanese, Proofreader

From the end of September 2013, I started my new life in Japan, Kyoto. Even though I already took the time to study Japanese a few weeks before coming here, September was for me the first real time that I learned Japanese in an all-school environment. I must say that enrolling in Japanese classes for 10 months, learning by myself, and meeting new people here, has made my Japanese skills improve much more than what I expected. It is actually so funny for me to realize that the more I learn the Japanese language, the more I become curious and wanting to know more about all aspects of this language.

I believe that learning new languages is a real opportunity to open a new door to the world and to be able to communicate with interesting people without worring about the language barrier.

As I am still young, I am of course aware of my limitations and deficiencies. It thus motivates me to take advantage of self-improvement opportunities in the educational settings, as well as in the workplace and in my personal environment.

Teaching my native language in Japan, as well as English, made me and is still making me realize how important it is to share one’s knowledge with the people around you, and of course to respect their own convictions and customs. Being in Japan, I also discovered a totally different way of living.
Dealing with new people and new ideas, learn to organize new tasks and meet goals, but also I have been learning more about the Japanese culture, and of course being completely immerged in an unknown environment has taught me much more than what I could have ever imagined in the past.

I would very much like to be able to explore and develop further, and have slowly been searching for something with more responsibilities in this sector as well as more areas where I am able to use my language skills to deal with clients from all over the world.

I have a deep interest in rules and regulations relating to the country's foreign trade laws.
