Simple Urdu Translation with Cultural Context
My name is Muhammad Awais. I am a native Urdu speaker from Pakistan. My book of Urdu Poems was published in 2019 with the name of “Hameen Khakum”. Being a poet I am blessed with the knowledge of history of poetic literature of Urdu. I am very well aware with the cultural, historical and literary context of Urdu as well as he recent trends of the language.
I have been Assistant Lecturer in a Government College of my native town. Because of my literary background I was selected for as Urdu Teacher. That was my first job and ever since I have been in love with teaching and Urdu language. As a teacher I used the following techniques that really worked and helped my students to understand as well as enjoy taste of language.
• Using modern techniques instead of traditional teaching methods.
• Using contents other than the curriculum to build interest of students.
• Enhancing Vocabulary
• Use of Idioms
• Practical use different forms of literature like poetry, prose, dramas, essays, satire, travelogue etc
Further, being closely related with the language, I have been receiving regular projects for translation. That has enhanced my ability to translate in Urdu language. I have translated more than 100 news articles in Urdu language. Qualities for which I have been appreciated as translator are;
