A Creative Practitioner, Filmmaker, Governance and Policy developer.

Professionally, I have worn various hats in the industry, serving as a filmmaker, researcher, programme developer, director, and content producer. On a daily basis, I conceptualise and refine ideas, whether through the creation of art, programme coordination, or the production of thought-provoking narratives. As a visual storyteller and content director, I have received comprehensive training in all facets of film production, with a particular focus on documentary filmmaking. My deepest passion lies in fostering education and critical thinking within the arts, with a strong emphasis on African identity, intersectionality, women's perspectives, and the transformative potential and responsibility of art in effecting social change.

I've had the privilege of expanding my horizons through international experiences, including participation in the International Filmmaker Academy (IFA) in Italy, where I collaborated with the esteemed Hungarian filmmaker, Béla Tarr. Additionally, I have honed my skills in Virtual Reality under the mentorship of Don Zirpola and Matt Thompson.

Throughout my career, I've actively engaged in developing and curating programmes that provide filmmakers with essential skills, knowledge, coaching, and mentorship. Notably, I contributed to the curation of the Debut Programme in collaboration with Business and Arts South Africa. I also served as a content producer on the Real Housewives of Johannesburg, Season Three. Currently, I am in the process of developing a documentary project funded by the NFVF. Furthermore, I hold the position of interim General Secretary at the Independent Producers Organisation and previously spearheaded the Get On Set producer mentorship programme, dedicated to upskilling young emerging producers.

In addition to my professional roles, I am the co-founder of Hamilre Production and Reel's Shorts, a curated digital platform that showcases South African short films. This platform aims to create a collection of authentic South African narratives by South African filmmakers. Our mission is to foster a community of films that are not only educational but also inspiring, thought-provoking, and entertaining.
