I have been a GIS/CAD Technician and cartographer for over 11 years working independently for land service entities, GIS companies, and land surveying firms.
I have strong working knowledge in oil & gas lease terminology, Original Texas Land Survey System, and Public Land Surveying System, as well as strong understanding of county public records and legal descriptions. I've mapped everything from oil & gas leases for petroleum companies, to parcels for county appraisal districts using surveyor plats, metes and bounds, and legal descriptions. I also have years of experience utilizing gps coordinates, aerial and satellite imagery, and plats to locate existing wells, find new drill sites, map pipeline routes, etc.
My expertise has mainly been working with digital mapping programs such as ArcGIS and AutoDesk. I'm familiar with the latest versions of both. I also understand how to plot deeds using Greenbriar's Deedplotter.
