System Engineer retired to do what she loves: writing, creating, art, making books

Retired Systems Engineer turned full time writer/artist under pen name Betty L'Ursula. Published author of 8 books, 2 of which are children's picture books from invented series "Duck Dillon Quacks the Case". Good at graphic arts and image manipulation. As part of the children's series, creates various items such as bookmarks, t-shirts, coloring pages, recipes, and puzzles. Manages BLuJBooks used bookstore. Created and manages www.bettylursula.com. Avid reader who does book reviews as well. Ghost writer of non-fiction articles in a variety of subjects requiring sometimes heavy internet research. Great at research so can write anything. Experience with all kinds of technical writing.

Work Terms

No real hours of operation. Prefer email communication. No skype please as my computer doesn't like it; Took me days of consoling it after I skyped it. :} (Do have unusual sense of humor). Usually write $1 USD per 100 words if extremely easy research, meaning just pure writing/no review cycles. This rate can be much higher depending on the research, etcetera - would quote something upfront after seeing how much research and reviews required. Any other requirements such as delivery time, type of formatting, etcetera. Deliveries vary on current workload and would be negotiated.
