Proofreading, editing, and developmental reviews for academic and technical writing

I have been an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at a Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, South Korea for over seven years. I have a B.S. in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Linguistics, awarded by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2007 and 2012, respectively. I have published in the fields of Natural Language Understanding and Formal Semantics. With my strong background in science, technology, mathematics, and philosophy, I am more than capable of providing useful feedback and editing services on work in STEM fields as well as the humanities.

Work Terms

In general, I charge $0.02 per word for proofreading, $0.03 per word for line editing, and $0.04 per word for a developmental review. If the client would prefer, I can also track time and charge by the hour. In either case, I will work with the client to negotiate a rate and delivery window that satisfies everyone.
