About

Focus on delivering services in a collaboration/ partnership model with clients to deliver sustainable, functional, healthy and safe, and economically viable communities (of practice)

My 30-year career has involved a variety of interesting roles in a multitude of industries. Industries include land-use planning and infrastructure development, team leadership and consultancy in health and human services, strategic land use planning for local and state government agencies, and oil and gas (unconventional and conventional gas in Australia).

Throughout my career I have worked and studied alongside amazing people from many cultures, companies and professional disciplines - engineers, technical support staff, building managers, environmental and HVAC specialists in consulting and client side roles. This includes health and medical practitioners, local government councilors and staff, community development and economic development practitioners, not-for-profit management and boards of management to deliver successful outcomes for my clients. Subsequently I have a thorough appreciation of the political, social and economic intricacies of development and community expectations at all levels.

I have been involved in projects of extreme complexity from the perspective of technical implementation and in working to change organisational culture. Human dynamics and the way communities operate are interests of mine.

High quality design and architecture, arts, music and enjoying the company of friends, good food and wine.

Travel is all too infrequent unfortunately.

Work Terms

I own my own business and therefore am very flexible in my hours of operation, including weekends and nights.

Fee payment arrangements can be negotiated on each project.

Depending on the complexity of any project, I have a standard suite of terms and conditions for my engagement. This is particularly relevant for projects which require technical reports to be generated, for example feasibility studies, where professional insurances are required to be considered. These will be supplied at the time of formalising a detailed tender for specific projects.
