Food Engineer with strong industry experience in food safety and quality assurance, R&D and food technology. Possessing a good understanding of the essentials of food safety and quality.

I am a Food Engineer working as Quality and Food Safety consultant in Angola and Portugal. I am responsible for ensuring that the units conforms to Quality guidelines as designated by the company; ensure that all Quality procedures for finished product and raw materials are followed by all plant personnel; investigate customer complaint s as required; responsible for the internal Laboratory and all daily tests analysis; elaboration of food quality programs which comply with all relevant standards and regulations (EU, Portugal and US), elaboration and review of specifications, procedures and specified standards; also I am the liaison between the company and the related Quality entities (Official Quality offices-IANORQ; SADC; Codex Alimentarius).
Besides having a good experience in Food quality systems and processing i have also good experience in food technology and chemistry, mainly in carbonated beverage industry, which was achieved during my Master and PhD degree, and by the fact having the opportunity to work in different food fields during my Research Assistant position. During my PhD i had the opportunity to work with multinational beverage companies and to establish good collaborative work with West Cost Cooler, Pepsi (Cork), Coca Cola, Britvic and Campden BRI. Along with the work developed i also had the opportunity to present my work in the ISBT European meeting on October 2010 in Denmark.
I also worked as Project Engineer in Portugal – providing technical consulting in turn key food units.
