After graduating from Arizona State University in 2007, I left the desert to study for my doctorate in Edinburgh, Scotland--a country where the weather forcefully encourages fireside reading, writing, and teaching.
I fell in love with higher education from the first, and the very first two years that I taught I won university-wide teaching awards (2010, 2011).
While pursuing my desire to be a writer, editor, and storyteller, I found unlooked-for talents in working with students. I can both engage an audience and work with individuals to find and hone their unique abilities. In doing so, I enjoy helping others find their voices, and through these, finding their presence among their peers and their personal visions for the future.
