MY VALUE PROPOSITION: Keeping it simple, identifying the essential, eliminating the rest!

ABOUT ME:

The term "kibbutz" has always been an influential word in my life. Growing up in Israel, I often heard the word used to invoke a sense of community and collaboration, one that was very much instilled in me as a child. 

It is that word that led me to understand how collaboration and structures take form in creating successful, growing communities. The central values and practices of kibbutz - mutual investment, looking out for others, and enacting strategies for growth - have been the core foundation for the successful endeavors in my life.

MY WORK:

In 2001, I co-founded my first community enterprise in New York City called Sunshine Suites. It was initially a small community of 70 budding entrepreneurs that has since evolved to thousands of startups and small businesses in multiple locations, who now call themselves "Shiners." 

In 2012, I co-founded the first City-sponsored business incubator in the Bronx. The Sunshine Bronx Incubator covered 11,000-square-foot and provide 400 entrepreneurs the resources and tools previously unavailable in the Bronx. This joint venture brought together the support and backing of local government and educational institutions in support of small business development.

Today, I continue working within the NYC startup community, educational and governmental areas as a consultant and advisor.
