As an educator, I have believed in inclusive education. That is to say that every learner, irrespective of learning disability has the potential to succeed as far as learners' needs are met.

Speaking from my classroom experience, learners need some support in the form of extrinsic motivation. Therefore, various accommodations and modifications of the learning should be given to learners as they learn with their various learning styles in a learner-centered classroom. However, when teaching online, the teacher should also be creative and innovative to keep students engaged by providing some improvised teaching and learning materials which will make the learning experience to be more interactive.

Work Terms

Being a full-term teacher currently teaching in an international school, my timetable kick-starts at 08:00 am and ends at 15:00 pm Monday to Thursday but I round up with my after-school extra-curricular activity at 16:00 pm on Tuesdays. So my online engagement should be able to start from 19:00 to 21:00 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays South African time. I will also be available on weekends; Saturdays and Sundays from 14:00 pm to 18:00 pm South African time.
