I'm following my practice of paying 1/3 in advance, 1/3 at the middle of a project and the final payment after all work has been completed to my satisfaction. However, even before the first payment we had exchanged project information using compatible software and reached a fixed-price agreement. The exchanges demonstrated to me that Mr. Horner has the basic requisite skills and knowledge. So far, so good!
