About

Dream . . .Write . . . Publish

A Filipino-American resident of North Highlands, CA, I am the the founder of Purple Cotton Candy Arts, a fast-growing business that started out to explore my creativity in arts and crafts and later expanded into publishing my picture books. I have written and published 11 children’s book titles since 2014, three of which won the following awards:

Zoobooloo: With Filipino Translation, first place, Children's Books, Northern California Publishers and Authors Book Competition 2019

Will You Still Love Me? A Puppy Haiku Story, silver award, Children's Books, Northern California Publishers and Authors Book Competition 2020
Will You Still Love Me? A Puppy Haiku Story, silver award, Cover and Inner Layout, Northern California Publishers and Authors Book Competition 2020

Recently, Purple Cotton Candy Arts started offering publishing services to other aspiring children’s authors such as editing, proofreading, rewriting, formatting, illustrations, book trailers, book reviews, and publication.
As a gifted poet, my haiku and tanka have appeared in numerous online and print journals worldwide and have garnered several awards. My first poetry book is The Bluebird’s Cry. Aside from being the founding editor of Frameless Sky and its imprint Velvet Dusk Publishing.
When I am not writing or publishing books, I like to dabble in alcohol ink art painting, doodling, mixed media art, and photography. Two of my photographs have won 1st and 3rd place in the Sacramento County Fair 2019. My alcohol ink art, Backyard Haven, won first place in the Paws Backyard Wildlife Contest 2020. Just recently, my mixed media art won 2nd place in Photography and Mixed Media category of the 5th Annual Jane Reichhold Memorial Contest hosted by Failed Haiku.
