Think big!
My name is Carine NIYUBAHWE, I am 31 years old from Burundi, 4th in a family of 5 children. I lost my parents when I was young : my mother at the age of 5 and my father at 14. From then on I grew up moving from family to family. It's not easy to be an orphan because you're never at home again, wherever you go, you're like a patch, you have to be careful of everything for fear that you'll be kicked out, it's seems like if you were walking on eggshells.
It hasn't been easy but I've always had hope for a better future and it gives me the strength to get up every time I fall.
I like sports, music and the beach. What I like the most is traveling and spending quality time with the people I love (friends and/or family)
Regarding my qualifications, I hold a master's degree of development environmental management specialty obtained at Senghor University of Alexandria and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, graduated from Light University of Bujumbura. I am currently enrolled in a master's program in Project Management delivered online by Alantic International university in the USA.
In addition to my academic training, I also followed various short training courses related to sustainable development, project monitoring and evaluation, data collection and analysis as well as digital marketing.
I have professional experience as a WASH agent, supervising engineer, expert monitoring-evaluation consultant, quality engineer and operations manager, on socio-economic infrastructure projects, sustainable agriculture, water, hygiene and sanitation.
